Tech & innovation
Innovating smarter, building better
We meet those challenges head-on by exploring new technologies, investing in industry capability, testing emerging ideas and turning project insight into practical advantage.
Because McNab operates across construction, property, supply, hire, energy and modular, we can look at innovation from more than one angle — then test what works in the real world.
The goal is simple: help our people, clients and partners build with more certainty, productivity and control.
Our approach
Innovation at McNab is grounded in real construction problems, not theory.
We work with founders, suppliers, consultants, technology providers and our own project teams to trial new ideas across modular construction, robotics, prefabrication, site energy, AI, construction methodology and supply chain improvement.
When something works, our integrated model helps us move quickly, from idea, to trial, to wider adoption across projects and businesses.
Technology is helping McNab improve how projects are planned, procured, delivered and managed.
We are exploring and applying practical tools such as AI-assisted tendering, automated reporting, digital workflows, productivity dashboards, project data analysis and smarter site systems.
The focus is not technology for technology’s sake. It is about giving our teams better information, reducing manual work and helping projects move with more clarity and control.
We make strategic investments that strengthen McNab’s capability and create better ways for the industry to build.
This includes investments in businesses such as Powershift, supporting cleaner and more flexible temporary energy; ModnPods, advancing modular construction; and ProcurePro, improving procurement through smarter digital workflows, automation and greater supply chain visibility.
We look for opportunities that are practical, scalable and connected to real industry challenges such as productivity, labour availability, supply certainty, cost pressure and sustainability.
